Frequently Asked Questions
APPLICATION QUESTIONS:
Q. Can I fax or drop off my application?
A. No. All applications must be mailed to: P.O. Box 3640, Center Line, MI 48015 and postmarked by the deadline date. There will be no exceptions.
Q. If I have multiple children in the same family with the same basic information (ie. Home address, etc.) can I send in one application?
A. No. A separate application must be submitted for each student. Multiple applications can be sent in the same envelope.
Q. If I don't send in two copies of everything in the application packet will I really not be considered?
A. Yes. The first stage of our process is to confirm that there are two copies of everything. If there is anything missing, the application is put in the spoiled file and will not be read.
INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:

A. Your child will receive a letter in the mail. If your child does not receive a letter, he/she will not be considered for a scholarship this year. You are welcome to reapply next year.

A. No.
Q. Is the interview mandatory?
A. Yes. No child will receive a scholarship without being interviewed.

A. Yes. Your child will be the one interviewed, regardless of their age.
Q. What should I bring to the interview?
A. Your child of course, as well as a COPY of your latest 1040 tax form. We need a copy for our file and will not be returning them. All forms will be shredded after the selection process is complete.
Q. How long will the interview take?
A. The actual interview is about 30 minutes, however, sometimes things get a little backed up and you may have to wait a little while to be interviewed. We do try to keep as close to the scheduled appointment as we can.
Q. Does everyone get interviewed?
A. No. If you are chosen to be interviewed, you have made it through the first step of the screening process.
Q. Can I sit in on the interview with my child?
A. NO. Depending on the child's age, we would prefer to interview the child alone. We find that children are more forthcoming when their parent's are not sitting at the table with them.
